Azerbaijan has transferred control over some areas on the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh to terrorist organizations, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.
“In some areas, Azerbaijan has completely transferred control to terrorist groups,” Sputnik Armenia quoted him on October 28.
At the same time, the press secretary of the Armenian defense department Shushan Stepanyan reported on Telegram that bases for militants had been created in the territories occupied by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces during the offensive.
According to her, this information is confirmed by intercepted telephone conversations and radio intelligence data.
Stepanyan added that such actions will further inflame and destabilize the situation not only in Karabakh, but in the entire region.
In early October, it became known about the transfer of 300 Syrian militants through Turkey to Baku. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev denied this information.
On October 26, the third truce between Armenia and Azerbaijan entered into force in Karabakh, but the fighting continues, and the parties accuse each other of violating the agreements.
Earlier, the adviser to the Prime Minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan stated that Russia can play a key role in maintaining the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
