WHO records a record number of new COVID cases per day in the world

Over the past day, the number of recorded cases of coronavirus infection in the world amounted to 657 312, which is a new record in the world, and the total number of infected has exceeded 53 million people. This is evidenced by data from the World Health Organization (WHO) for November 14.

According to the above statistics, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the world is 53,164,803, and 1,300,576 patients have died. Only officially confirmed information from states is taken into account.

More than 43% of reports of new cases of infection recorded per day came from the European Region (285,332), followed by North and South America (269,225), Southeast Asia (55,551).

The United States leads in the number of reported cases of infection with 10,460,365, followed by India (8,773,479), Brazil (5,781,582) and Russia (1,903,253).

Earlier, Candidate of Medical Sciences Sergei Voznesensky said that the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia is growing because part of the population does not comply with preventive measures.

According to the specialist, now Russians need to communicate with other people as little as possible, regularly use personal protective equipment and wait until mass vaccinations are announced.
