Hairdressing salons in Germany are closed. A haircut at home can face a fine of up to 25,000 euros. For hairdressers, the closure was a disaster. Thousands of people are on the brink of survival. Actors, politicians, prime ministers of the federal states, including the Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate Malu Dreyer and the Prime Minister of Thuringia Bodo Ramelov, have declared that they are currently their own hairdressers. However, in some federal states, hairdressers may be able to open after 14 February.
The Prime Minister of the state of Saxony-Anhalt Rainer Haseloff from the pages of the Berlin “Tagesspiegel” demands the prompt opening of hairdressing salons. “We need to understand that it’s time to make many services possible again, including for the benefit of the people who work in the industry.”
Plans to open hairdressing salons are also being discussed in Saxony. The question of when to allow the phased opening of schools and kindergartens is on the agenda no less than the important Click and Collect service for stores or the opening of hairdressers, ”said Deputy Prime Minister Martin Doolig. The condition for the implementation of these plans is the incidence rate, which should be below 100 and have a “tendency to further decrease.”
Thus, Saxony, one of the most affected federal states from the pandemic, does not support the idea of introducing indulgences at the 50 coefficient, which the Federal Chancellor has been seeking for several weeks.
