What is a mini golf game?
Do you know the game “golf”? If you do, then mini golf can be seen as a miniaturized version of that game. In golf, a club is used to hit a ball and the aim of the game is to get the ball into a hole or a series of holes on a course in a few strokes. Since mini golf is a smaller version of regular golf, you’ll find similar features like flags, holes, terrain obstacles, water hazards, and sand traps.
Is mini golf exactly like regular golf? The answer is no. Even though it’s true that the game bears some similarities with regular golf, both games have different styles of play. Unlike regular golf, in mini golf, a putter is always used for every stroke because the quarters of the game are much smaller when compared to regular golf.
What is a putt putt game?
Just like mini golf, putt putt is also a cut off from golf. This means that putt putt also shares the same aim with golf. In putt putt, it’s common to have courses with obstacles like statues, pipes, and even metal rails. Putt putt games do not require much skill to play because they are less traditional and they are simplistic in nature.
Mini gold and putt putt: how are they different?
Mini golf and putt putt are games formed from regular golf and because of that they do share some similarities and they both have the same aim. Asides from that, mini golf is different from putt putt and in this section of the article you’ll find out the difference between mini golf and putt putt.
Mini golf and putt putt are played differently and as such, they are scored differently. How? You may wonder. Don’t worry I’ll explain. In mini golf, what happens is that, all players will take their first stroke then the player who is farthest away from the hole will take the second stroke which is similar to regular golf. In putt putt, the first person has to complete the hole before the second player. Unlike mini golf, putt putt gives no preference to any player who is farthest from the hole. The par score for mini golf ranges from two to six whereas putt putt has a maximum par of two for every hole.
It’s much easier to play putt putt because the obstacles are limited to pipes, blocks, rails, and small slopes. Most of the holes in putt putt are designed in such a way that they can be completed in one or two straight putts which makes it a faster game when compared to mini golf. The obstacles in mini golf vary, so it is usually difficult to determine what you’ll expect and the holes can be placed anywhere. For example, you can find a hole on a hill, sand trap, cave, etc. Mini golf isn’t as easy as putt putt since it requires skill and strategy. As a mini golf player, to be proficient in the game, you’ll have to learn to play the course otherwise it’ll be difficult for you to win.
