The source said that 33 Russians detained in Belarus, whom Minsk considers to be Wagner PMC militants, have not yet been charged.
“During the arrest, no items prohibited in Belarus were found,” the source said, adding that the Russians did not take any action in violation of the laws of Belarus.
According to the source, each of the detainees was interrogated within 20 minutes, but this did not help to establish the corpus delicti.
Also, according to the source, some of the detainees, in addition to the Russian ones, also have Ukrainian passports.
Earlier, the state media of Belarus reported that the Russians had arrived ostensibly to destabilize the situation before the elections.
