VSK Insurance House showed the best growth dynamics of the portfolio of voluntary medical insurance (VHI) at the end of 2020. This follows from the reporting data of the Central Bank of Russia published on the regulator’s website.

The growth in the collection of insurance premiums for the company’s VHI amounted to 27.5%, against the background of a general reduction of the Russian VHI market by 2%, which in monetary terms amounted to 4 billion rubles.

More than 10% of participants reportedly left the VHI market. At the end of 2019, 121 companies provided services, and by the end of December 2020, there were 104 of them.

According to Oleg Vitko, Deputy General Director for Medical Insurance of VSK Insurance House, in 2020 the company has taken a fresh look at its possibilities of providing services to corporate clients on VHI.

“The strategy for the development of remote services made it possible to implement flexible insurance conditions as quickly as possible and allowed us to offer customers new products“ Individual protection ”and“ Rehabilitation after COVID-19 ”, responding to the challenges of the pandemic,” said the top manager. These products have contributed to the growth of the customer base and the renewal of existing contracts.

As a result, the company increased the collection of premiums on voluntary medical insurance by 27.5%, which became the best indicator among the top ten Russian insurance companies, Vitko added.
