The mayor’s office has announced an auction for the reconstruction of the highway along Angarskaya Street in the Dzerzhinsky District.
According to the project, the contractor will double the site on Angarskaya Street from Rimsky-Korsakov Street to a gas station. The work should take two years.
The winner of the auction will be determined very soon – on August 13.
According to the city administration, one of the key conditions for the conclusion of municipal contracts for the reconstruction of the street and road network is a mandatory guarantee of performers for four years.
Experts will take care of the transfer of engineering networks, clear the territory, and also update the tram crossing in the school area in 2020.
In the next, the construction of the foundation, the formation and laying of the canvas, as well as sidewalks for pedestrians, the construction of ramps, junctions and other infrastructure will start. An outdoor lighting line will be installed along the new four-lane motorway, which will be 800 meters long.
It is planned that the work will be fully completed by September 30, 2021.
The mayor’s office stressed that the reconstruction will significantly increase the capacity, as well as the level of road safety in this section.
We add that since 2014, the restoration of transport infrastructure has been among the priority areas of the authorities of the Volgograd region. During this time, more than 250 kilometers of highways have been repaired and built in the regional center alone. Volgograd was one of the first, where in 2017 work began on a large-scale renovation within the framework of the federal project “Safe and high-quality roads”.
