During a working visit to the Kostroma Region, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov discussed the prospects for cooperation with the Governor of the Kostroma Region, Sergei Sitnikov. Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Sergei Sitnikov also visited the site of the plywood mill under construction by Segezha Group (part of the AFK Sistema Group) in Galich and a number of other sites that may be of investment interest for AFK Sistema.

“Cooperation between AFK Sistema and the administration of the Kostroma region began in 2017. Since then, we have begun the implementation of a number of important projects for the region – we are building a plywood mill in Galich, creating a modern forest seed complex in Sharya, and launching a free engineering education program “Elevator to the Future. School “for teenagers of Kostroma and Galich. Our subsidiary MTS is the leader in the Kostroma region in terms of the number of base stations in all bands, the only operator with VoLTE technology, and the only operator in the region with a deployed NB-IoT network for the Internet of Things. AFK Sistema intends to continue its participation in the social and economic development of the Kostroma region. In particular, we are considering the possibility of implementing joint projects in the field of agriculture and high technologies. We will continue to actively interact with the Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov, regional and municipal authorities on charity and human capital development, ”said Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema.

“All projects that AFK Sistema implements in the region are very important to us. The plant in Galich will become a powerful impetus for the development of the economy and social sphere of the entire north-west of the Kostroma region. The territory of advanced development “Galich” will be able to get away from mono-dependence, more than a thousand new jobs will appear. It is very important that the company takes care of reforestation at the initial stage of construction of the plant. Construction of a modern complex has begun in Sharya, which will provide seedlings not only to Kostroma, but also to neighboring regions. We also support Sistema’s intentions to develop engineering education and introduce digital technologies. I would like to thank the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema Vladimir Petrovich Yevtushenkov for his contribution to the development of the economy and social sphere of the Kostroma Region. The regional administration is always ready to provide the necessary support, administrative support of projects, comfortable conditions for doing business, including tax and other preferences, ”said the Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov.

On the projects of Sistema JSFC Group in the Kostroma Region:
