In a number of regions of the Urals and Siberia, a high risk of fires is expected in the coming days. This was announced on May 2 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand.
The fourth out of five possible levels of fire hazard is expected in the Ural Federal District and in the south of Western Siberia in the coming days, namely in the Kurgan, Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk regions.
“The Ural Federal District and the south of Western Siberia – it is here that there will be very large areas of the fourth class of fire hazard. This applies to the Kurgan region, the south of Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions, ”TASS quotes him.
The specialist pointed out that this is due to warm weather and a lack of precipitation in March and April.
According to Vilfand, this level of fire hazard in these regions will remain until about May 5.
At the same time, as the forecaster warned the day before, a Mediterranean cyclone will come to a number of Russian regions, which will bring heavy rainfall and wind. Bad weather will hit Tatarstan, the North Caucasus, Tuva, Kaluga, Tver and Yaroslavl regions, as well as St. Petersburg.
