It’s time to change summer tires for vehicles for motorists of the capital region for winter ones. This was announced on Wednesday, November 4, by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, Roman Vilfand.
“According to forecasts, no snow will be seen in the capital until the end of the week,” Interfax quotes him. However, the air temperature will start to drop, he noted.
On Thursday, November 5, the temperature is expected to be 7-10 degrees, on Friday, November 6 – 6-8 degrees, on Saturday, November 7 – 5-10 degrees.
On November 9, it is forecasted from 3 to 8 degrees Celsius. From Tuesday, November 10, it will get colder by 5-6 degrees, and the temperature will approach its climatic norm. From November 10, the air temperature will drop markedly. A slight minus is expected at night, while in the daytime there will be minor positive values.
According to Vilfand, the beginning of November is a high time to change summer tires to winter tires. He also urged not to wait for a stable snow cover in Moscow until the end of November.
Earlier, he said that the coming winter in Russia will be patchy and less warm than last year. However, temperatures above the climatic norm should be expected.
