The US Department of Justice asked to close the case of Donald Trump’s former security adviser Michael Flynn, as the president pardoned the accused, according to court documents.

As noted, General Flynn and his lawyer considered and agreed with this petition and the measures proposed to the court.

The pardon granted by Trump to Flynn on November 25 left the court no choice but to dismiss the case, since these actions of the American leader are not subject to appeal.

Flynn served as Trump’s advisor for approximately three weeks in 2017, then resigned in connection with the scandal surrounding his telephone conversations with then Russian Ambassador to the United States, Sergei Kislyak. The ex-presidential adviser was accused of misinforming the FBI about these conversations.
