Former deputy commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Admiral Igor Kabanenko, on the air of the Espresso channel, listed Ukrainian regions where Russia can land its troops in case of war. He noted that this applies to the coastal strip of the Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions, as well as South Bessarabia, bordering on Transnistria and Moldova.
“These are three zones that can be used,” the admiral said.
Also, landing in the Kherson region cannot be ruled out. In general, the actions of the Russian military will be aimed at encircling Zaporozhye.
The channel also said that Ukraine is the most vulnerable from the sea. On land, the Armed Forces of Ukraine feel more secure. “The Kremlin may take aggressive actions against Ukraine due to the lack of fresh water in Crimea,” the speaker said.
It is also emphasized that joint exercises of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla are about to begin in the Black Sea. Two American destroyers, which were previously sent to the Black Sea, never appeared there.
