The US Supreme Court has rejected the latest of three appeals from former President Donald Trump on the results of the country’s top election in November. This was reported on March 8 by Reuters.

The court upheld the decision of a lower court, which dismissed Trump’s lawsuit demanding not to count the results of thousands of votes in Wisconsin, which the Republican lost to Democrat Joe Biden by a gap of 20 thousand votes. There were no comments from the court on the decision.

It was the last of three petitions filed with the Supreme Court by Trump. On February 22, the court dismissed his other two appeals – in Wisconsin and one on a vote in Pennsylvania.

In the lower courts, Trump lost about 55 cases and won only one, which did not affect the election results.

In late November, a Pennsylvania court rejected a US GOP lawsuit seeking to invalidate ballots sent by mail during the presidential election. Trump filed a lawsuit on November 22.

On November 5, during a speech at the White House, Trump threatened that the trial over the election results could end in the country’s Supreme Court.

The US presidential election was held on November 3 and was won by Democrat Joe Biden.
