Two residents of Gus-Khrustalny robbed a woodworking workshop

In December 2020, a representative of one of the regional enterprises contacted the police. He said that an electric motor and a power cable were stolen from the territory of the woodworking shop. The amount of material damage caused to the owner turned out to be more than 75 thousand rubles, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Soon, police officers identified and detained suspects in the crime. They turned out to be 35 and 51-year-old residents of the Gus-Khrustalny district.

They admitted their guilt and said that they had entered the territory of the woodworking shop to steal metal. Using the tools they brought with them, they cut the power cable running along the walls to the woodworking machines and removed the electric motor from the machine.

All the stolen goods were put on a sleigh. The men left the scene of the crime and transported the stolen goods to the forest. Then they burned 80 m of the power cable, and crushed the engine into small parts. They handed over the stolen goods to the scrap metal collection point.

A criminal case was initiated under the article “Theft”.

The criminal case was sent to the court.

Now they face up to five years in prison.
