A ten-year-old in Virginia managed to escape his burned-out home with the help of his two dogs.
Sleeping when the fire was raging in his house, the boy was woken up by his two pitbulls, who started to jump on him in order to warn him.
According to a neighbor, the child managed to crawl to a door and left the burning house.
The two dogs were not able to get out in time, however, and did not survive.
“They saved the boy’s life, that’s for sure,” adds the neighbor.
The fire chief said that “these two dogs are heroes”.
The boy was taken to hospital because he inhaled a lot of smoke. One does not however fear for his life.
