“I have not created anything supernatural,” says Tula craftsman Yevgeny Grigoriev, who is able to assemble a motorcycle by combining technology and arts and crafts. Now he is working on creating another unique steampunk bike.

This motorcycle can accelerate to 50-60 km / h, but its “trick” is not at all in the engine power, but in its unique design. The creator of the bike, Evgeny Grigoriev, in his brainchild managed to combine technology and arts and crafts.

At first glance, a motorcycle looks like a complex cacophony of disparate objects. But every detail was selected carefully, painstakingly and in the style of the bike. True, only a chain remained from an ordinary motorcycle.

“You need to know its structure, what detail is like what. Many parts are homemade, made of materials that are usually not used for this. I mainly use brass, copper and ferrous metals. There is a thought to make some things gold.

The ship’s lantern stands in place of the headlight,

the alarm clock serves as a stop signal.

There is even a handle from an old meat grinder, a kerosene stove, a box in which drills once were, and decorative elements of a watch, ”continues Evgeny Grigoriev.

The motorcycle is running on a gasoline engine.

“This engine is at least 70 years old. It was finished in the 50s of the last century. It is stationary, even boats sailed on it. The motorcycle works on modern gasoline, but it is not good for the motor. Therefore, I dilute the fuel with kerosene, ”said the Tula.

Getting behind the wheel of a motorcycle is not easy, such an animal weighs about 200 kg. It takes about six months to make it. Tulyak admits that several times he got behind the wheel of a “rusty” beast. However, it is worth remembering that it is impossible to officially register a self-made transport with the traffic police. Enthusiasts can run into a large fine and lose their vehicle.

Surprisingly, Eugene talks about his brainchild without passion and love, calls his creation a “side effect”.

“I am not a biker or a motorcycle enthusiast. Since childhood, it was interesting to poke around in the garage. Growing up, he bought his own garage to repair cars. Then anything could be in the place of a motorcycle. For example, a robot. I chose a bike. In addition, it comes out more budgetary than the same car. I took the old “Ural” as a basis. He bribed the details and began to alter, supplement, correct something, ”says the craftsman.

Eugene admits that he looks skeptical at his work, but he is supported by relatives and friends.

“I am not an artist, and my imagination is not particularly developed. My tool is a grinder, drill and welding. I do not order any parts from anyone. It’s not difficult for me to make such a motorcycle, here you need more patience to poke around with it for six months. My friend Kirill Klimov helps me a lot. We solve difficult moments together with him, ”says the source.

The creative plans of the Tula craftsman are to finish the bike and take it to the exhibition, which will take place next weekend in Moscow.
