A resident of Kabardino-Balkaria died under the wheels of a traffic police car, investigators are checking, according to the regional department of the RF IC on Saturday, October 10.
The incident took place in the Urvan region of the republic. It is noted that the elderly woman crossed the barriers and tried to cross the road in the wrong place.
“As a result of a traffic accident, the woman received injuries from which she died on the spot,” the message says.
The Investigative Committee clarified that during the check, the actions of the traffic police inspector who drove the car will be assessed under the article “Violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of this article provides for up to five years in prison.
Earlier, on October 8, it was reported that an elderly resident of Sakhalin helped a woman to park a car, as a result of which he lost his leg and died from blood loss.
