This is due to the fact that many patients who have recovered from coronavirus are faced with residual changes in the form of fibrosis. The Ministry of Health suggested that this category of patients “has an increased risk of developing tuberculosis” in the future. It says in the recommendations. The Ministry of Health does not exclude that it is possible to get sick with tuberculosis “before, simultaneously or after” after a coronavirus infection.
In order to exclude tuberculosis at the initial stage, the Ministry of Health recommends immediately doing tests for COVID-19 and testing for tuberculosis.
