The status of a large family has been issued online by 6,400 Muscovites since November 2020. This was announced on Monday, February 1, by the deputy mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova.
Since November last year, this service has been available only in electronic form – on the mos.ru portal. The application is accepted at any time. In addition, it can be extended there.
“As of today, 6,400 Muscovites have already taken advantage of the updated service on the mos.ru portal and have obtained the electronic status of a large family. We can say with confidence that the new format for assigning the status of a large family and the remote method of confirming it has become the next step in digital transformation that meets the modern needs of the residents of our city, ”Rakova said on the website of the Mayor of Moscow.
It is noted that in 2020, almost 32 thousand people applied for a certificate of a large family of the city of Moscow.
At the moment, about 1.5 million families live in the capital, bringing up more than 2.1 million children. More than 176 thousand of them are large families. For 10 years, their number has grown by 2.5 times.
At the end of November 2020, State Duma Deputy Elena Strokova proposed creating in Russia a new preferential program “Family Index”, based on the performance of each family as a separate unit of society. It is assumed that this project will be built on a tiered system, where the number of benefits acquired will increase when the family reaches a new level.
In August 2020, it was reported that State Duma Deputy Ivan Sukharev offered to issue cars for free to large families with a fifth child.
