Funds for possible August payments for children under 16 can be found, but the decision must be made at the level of the president and the government of Russia. This was announced to RIA Novosti by the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov on Tuesday, August 18.
“Look at the savings of the pension fund, look at the savings on other items, look at the reserve available, and in general such a socially oriented step could probably be taken, but here the last word is not with the Ministry of Finance, but in general, the consolidated position of the federal center will be formed”, – said the deputy.
He believes that technologically this issue can be solved without adopting an additional law. Also, the decision does not depend on the trips and vacations of the country’s leadership. “The fact that the top officials are absent in Moscow does not mean that the process has stopped – instructions are still being given. If such a decision is made, then it will be made regardless of whether [премьер-министр России Михаил] Mishustin is in the Far East or someone else is on vacation, ”Nilov said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the first deputy head of the social committee of the Federation Council, Valery Ryazansky, said that the decision on possible August payments for children would depend on the agreement of a number of instances, including the social block of the government.
The senator considers it necessary to wait for Mishustin’s return, after which an appropriate government decision will be made, Gazeta.ru writes.
In early July, the Ministry of Labor reported that the July lump sum payments in the amount of 10 thousand rubles were received by the parents of 26 million children under 16 years of age.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced such payments during his address to the nation on May 11. Since June 1, Russians have been able to receive payments of 10 thousand rubles for children between the ages of three and 16. The application can be submitted by October 1 this year.
At the end of June, the Russian leader announced an additional payment of 10 thousand rubles for each child under 16.
