The Russian national ice hockey team defeated the Swedish team in the group stage match of the World Youth Championship. The meeting in Edmonton, Canada ended with a score of 4: 3.
The goals were scored by Yegor Afanasyev (8th minute) and Rodion Amirov (20), Kirill Kirsanov (50) and Marat Khusnutdinov (64). Arvid Kostmar (15), Alexander Holz (36), Noel Gunler (60) distinguished themselves in the Swedish team.
Rodion Amirov’s goal was canceled in the first minute of the meeting, as the captain of the Russian national team Vasily Podkolzin blocked the Swedish goalkeeper.
According to the results of the matches, the Russian national team takes first place in its group with a score of 8 points.
