Representatives of the regional prosecutor’s office and the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Pskov region visited the SIZO-1 of Pskov, the press service of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service told MK in Pskov.
Accompanied by the head of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service Yevgeny Starikov, representatives of the regional prosecutor’s office Olga Gorovatskaya and Oleg Noskov, as well as the acting chief state doctor-head of the Central State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the Federal Penitentiary Service No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Nadezhda Merkusheva, visited the detention center No. 1 of Pskov.
The audit assessed the organization of accommodation and medical care for citizens who are in jail, the quality of food, the effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures in the fight against COVID-19.
The controllers examined the cameras for the placement of the special contingent, checked the living conditions of the unit for economic support. “Special attention was paid to the cells in which suspects, accused and convicted women and minors are kept,” the press service of the UFSIN said.
