In the House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican headquarters for combating Covid-19 and representatives of large pharmacy chains discussed the availability of drugs in the republic’s pharmacies. The discussion was held on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Tatarstan and large retail pharmacy chains took part in the event. According to the head of the headquarters – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, the availability of drugs and their regular deliveries to pharmacies are under constant control of Roszdravnadzor, FAS and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Today there is a stock of necessary funds in the republic, and the increased demand, for example, for antiviral drugs and antibiotics is traditional and associated with the peak of seasonal diseases,” the press service said.
Experts recalled that the use of drugs without a doctor’s recommendation, self-medication, on the contrary, can cause serious health problems.
As representatives of pharmacy chains noted, there is no shortage of medicines in Tatarstan, despite the increased demand.
An agreement was reached to continue work on monitoring the availability of all medicines and their pricing.
