The Public Monitoring Commission of Moscow believes that Sergei Furgal, who contracted the coronavirus in the pre-trial detention center, is on the mend. His temperature returned to normal and, in general, his condition was satisfactory. The executive secretary of the commission, Alexei Melnikov, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
The ex-governor fell ill last week. His temperature rose to 38 degrees. He was admitted to the remand prison hospital. COVID was diagnosed there.
Sergei Furgal was arrested in July last year. He is charged with participating in an organized crime group and organizing murders. The former governor does not admit his guilt. Now he is getting acquainted with the case. After that, a court hearing will be scheduled with the consideration of the case on the merits.
