The Ministry of Health on Thursday, April 15, explained to the residents of the Kaluga region about the ban on flights to Turkey and Tanzania. Flights to these states have been closed for Russians since April 15.

“From today until June 1, flights with Turkey and Tanzania have been suspended. And if Tanzania has never led the top resort countries for our fellow countrymen, Turkey was perhaps the most popular foreign destination for Kaluga residents and residents of the region. Flights were suspended for a reason.” – writes on his Facebook page Deputy Minister of Health of the region Ilya Sovakov.

Currently, there is a catastrophic coronavirus situation in Turkey. Records for morbidity and mortality are broken there every day. In the country itself, the authorities have already banned intercity communication, a curfew has been introduced from 19:00 to 5:00 Moscow time, cafes and restaurants have been transferred to delivery mode.

Explain to Kaluga residents and about the countries of Europe. They also extend the lockdown. So, in Poland, all shopping facilities are closed until the end of April, except for pharmacies and grocery stores; on the street, it is mandatory to wear a mask. Even domestic tourism has been stopped in this country.

According to Sovakov, the pause between the second and third waves of infection is very small, while the virus mutates. “In order for the third wave not to affect you and me in the same way as the residents of Turkey or Poland, we need collective immunity formed due to vaccination,” the deputy minister writes, calling on Kaluga residents to be vaccinated against covid again and again.
