The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation intends to increase the quota for the growth of the flow of tourists to the Kaluga region within the framework of the Russian tourism program “My Russia”. This will allow, among other things, as many Russians as possible to visit the opened museum of cosmonautics in Kaluga, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova said on Tuesday, April 20 at a meeting with Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.

The program has proven its effectiveness. The number of tourists under this project for each region is quota. to increase the quota of tourists coming to the Kaluga region, and all of them will definitely visit the museum of cosmonautics, “the press service of the Kaluga government said following the meeting.
“My Russia” has been implemented since 2012 on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. All 85 regions of the country participate in it.
Manilova was impressed by the new cosmonautics museum in Kaluga. “How wonderful that Kaluga has such a museum, which is not in European countries. It’s just fantastic. We will promote this museum everywhere in Russia,” the deputy minister said.
Vladislav Shapsha thanked Alla Manilova and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the implementation of interesting programs, the results of which are felt by the regions. Such an example was the project “New Year’s Capital of Russia”, which attracted additional tourists to Kaluga. 160 thousand people visited the city on New Year’s days.
