A resident of Taipei, Taiwan, married four times and divorced three times in 37 days to extend paid vacation.
According to Odditycentral, local law provides for 8 days of paid marriage leave. It is clarified that the man has all the times turned this scam with the same woman – his wife.
In total, he managed to get 32 days of paid leave.
The bank, where the Taiwanese worked, understood his plan and tried to refuse leave, but the man turned to the Taipei City Bureau with a complaint against the bank, accusing him of violating labor laws.
As a result of the investigation, the bank still had to give the man a vacation, as the labor office admitted that the financial institution had indeed violated the law.
“Despite the fact that the behavior of the bank employee was unethical, he did not break the law. On the other hand, the bank violated Article 2 on granting vacations, ”the bureau explained.
