The leaders of the political parties of Moldova began to congratulate the ex-Prime Minister Maya Sandu on his victory in the presidential elections, which were held in the country on Sunday, November 15.
Thus, the chairman of the Dignity and Truth Platform party, Andrei Nastase, wrote on Facebook that Sandu’s success is a victory for those who dream of “European Moldova, justice and a better life at home.
The leader of the Pro-Moldova parliamentary group Andrian Candu also congratulated her.
“Congratulations to Maya Sanda! The Republic of Moldova has taken an important step to reset the state. Check for the regime [Игоря] Dodona. The next step is to checkmate and get his clones out of the government, ”he wrote on Facebook.
After counting 98% of the ballots, Maia Sandu leads the presidential elections in Moldova with 55.2% of the votes. The current head of state, Igor Dodon, is gaining 44.8%.
The second round of presidential elections was held in Moldova on Sunday. Igor Dodon and ex-Prime Minister Maia Sandu are fighting for the post of head of state. In the first round, Sandu won 36.16% of the vote, Dodon – 32.61%.
On November 13, Dodon submitted documents indicating Sandu’s involvement in the theft of € 1 billion from the country’s banks.
It is noteworthy that the ex-prime minister herself turned for support in the elections to the supporters of the head of Our Party, Renato Usatii, who is on the federal wanted list in Russia. He is suspected of involvement in the organization of a criminal community and the illegal withdrawal of more than 500 billion rubles from the Russian Federation.
