An extraordinary fire hazard class is predicted in the coming days in several regions of Russia. This was announced by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
We are talking about the Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions, Altai Territory, as well as the southern part of the Ural Federal District, reports TASS.
According to the meteorologist, the level of fire hazard here will rise to the fifth grade for the first time since the beginning of the year.
“In the west of the Omsk Region, Altai Territory, Novosibirsk Region, in the south of the Ural Federal District, in the west of the Tomsk Region, for the first time this year, a fire hazard can reach the fifth class, that is, an emergency level,” Vilfand said.
According to him, a high risk of forest fires in these regions will be recorded from 5 to 7 May.
On April 30, Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, admitted that the climatic summer in Russia could start ahead of schedule. According to his forecast, in the third decade of May, temperature norms are expected to be exceeded by at least 1-3 degrees.
