The head of the unrecognized Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika (TMR) Vadim Krasnoselsky announced his readiness for a dialogue with the elected President of Moldova Maia Sandu. His interview was shown by the TV channel “First Pridnestrovsky” on Friday, November 27th.
“We need to give a chance, we need to be patient, and then we’ll see. We are ready for dialogue, ready for dialogue with any official in Moldova, whom the people in Moldova have trusted, in this case with Mrs. Sandu, ”he said.
Krasnoselsky also noted that it is necessary to “correctly” assess the situation and understand that Sandu has gone through a difficult pre-election period, so one should “not take her initial statements.”
On the eve of Sandu, during a broadcast on the public TV channel Moldova 1, she said that she was not in the mood for a soft dialogue with Tiraspol and would not seek meetings with Krasnoselsky, since she did not see the need for such an initiative.
On November 15, Maia Sandu won 57.7% of the vote in the second round of presidential elections in Moldova. The incumbent head of state Igor Dodon received the support of 42.2% of the voters. His term of office expires on December 23rd.
