An explosion in a ten-story panel building on Batova Street in Yaroslavl took place at about 19:29 on August 21. After the explosion, a fire broke out and was liquidated. A woman died, four people were injured, they are in the Solovyov hospital. The evacuated residents will be temporarily accommodated in the district administration.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of the explosion. As a result of the incident, at least eight apartments were damaged, floors from the second to sixth floors collapsed.
