The funeral service for Metropolitan Isidor will be performed by the Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Dionysius of the Resurrection.
Tomorrow, on August 10, in St. Catherine’s Cathedral in Krasnodar, after the Divine Liturgy, the rite of the Metropolitan’s funeral service will be performed. The beginning of the service at 7:30, the Cathedral informed. Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk has been entrusted with the temporary administration of the Ekaterinodar diocese.
A live broadcast of the church service will be organized in the courtyard of the temple. At 10:00 the Kuban 24 TV channel will broadcast live the rite of the burial of Metropolitan Isidor.
Let us remind you that Metropolitan Isidor died on the morning of August 8. He died at the age of 79. The cause of death was complications associated with the coronavirus. One of the oldest bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church headed the diocese for over 30 years. Today, August 9, funeral services were held in all churches of the region.
