The first cherry blossoms have blossomed this week in western Japan. This was reported on March 12 by the Kyodo agency, citing the National Meteorological Administration of Japan.
The first cherry blossoms, the symbol of Japan, began on March 11 in Hiroshima Prefecture. As the employees of the department suggested, the spring weather observed in February accelerated the flowering of the tree.
The report notes that this is the second earliest cherry blossom in the country. The previous record was recorded on March 10, 2010.
On March 12, according to Japanese meteorologists, the second cherry blossoms began this year in Fukuoka Prefecture.
