On the eve of Easter, nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg told how many boiled eggs can be eaten without harm to health and whether the product really raises the level of cholesterol in the body.
According to the doctor, the widespread opinion that the cholesterol contained in eggs has a detrimental effect on the cardiovascular system and the liver has recently changed.
“Food cholesterol has practically no effect on the level of“ bad ”cholesterol in the blood,” Zvezda TV channel quotes Ginzburg. – This is a component necessary for the body, which is needed for the synthesis of certain hormones and vitamin D.
The nutritionist added that in general, eggs are rich in nutrients that a person needs. They contain vitamins A, D, B6 and B12. Specific contraindications for eating eggs are rare, and most can safely eat them up to five times a week.
