Interim measures were imposed on the Moscow apartments and the office of the People’s Artist of the USSR Alexei Batalov, which belong to the artist Natalya Drozhzhina, who is accused of fraud. This was announced on Tuesday, January 26, by TASS, citing a source familiar with the case materials.
“An elite apartment in the House on the Embankment and non-residential premises in the same building on Serafimovich Street have been arrested. In addition, interim measures were imposed on one more metropolitan apartment of the artist in the center of Moscow, ”said the agency’s interlocutor.
The press service of the Moscow Khamovnichesky Court confirmed the information about interim measures to the agency, but refused to specify which property was seized.
Earlier, on October 29, the lawyer of the actress Natalya Drozhzhina and her husband Yuri Tsivin Anatoly Kucherena said that the spouses who were accused of fraud are ready to give the property to the Batalov family. However, the artist’s relatives, according to the lawyer, refuse to meet in Nikita Mikhalkov’s studio with his clients to condemn this issue.
On October 26, the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow did not arrest Drozhzhina and her husband in the case of the property of the Batalov family, despite the corresponding request from the investigation. They chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
On the same day, Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the Moscow head office of the Investigative Committee of Russia, announced that the spouses had been charged.
According to the investigation, the widow of Batalov, who died three years ago, Gitana Leontenko and his daughter Maria, were fraudulently deprived of a share in a four-room apartment, an actor’s workshop, two apartments, one of which is located in the center of Moscow, as well as a large sum of money.
On October 16, the woman and her daughter were recognized as victims in a criminal fraud case. It was noted that registration cases for real estate objects were requested, requests were sent to financial and credit organizations for the provision of extracts on all current accounts, and a notary’s registration book was seized.
In mid-September, the Investigative Committee opened a fraud case. Members of the Batalov family filed a complaint with the police, claiming that the family was deceived and deprived of property, and this was allegedly done by the artist’s close friends who took care of him in recent years – Drozhzhina and Tsivin. As it turned out, they had a power of attorney for the real estate of Batalov’s relatives. They issued the document at the request of the actor himself, in order to help his wife and daughter in this way.
