Investigators opened a criminal case into the death of two children as a result of a fire in a private residential building in Surgut. This was reported on Thursday, March 11, on the website of the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The fire took place in the morning of March 11 on Brusnichnaya Street in a private residential building in the gardening partnership “Health”. At the time of the arrival of the firefighters, the building was almost completely engulfed in fire, the roof collapsed, writes REGNUM. During the suppression of the fire, rescuers found the bodies of two children born in 2012 and 2015 without external signs of a violent death.
They are believed to have suffocated with carbon monoxide. The exact cause of death of the children will be known after the examination, writes the Federal News Agency.
