In Crimea, a criminal case was opened on the fact of negligence of employees of the prevention bodies, as a result of whose inaction two children and their grandfather died in the fire. The tragedy took place on October 2 in a private house in the village of Heroeskoye, Saki region.

According to the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the TFR in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, boys of five and two years old, as well as their 50-year-old grandfather, died. They were poisoned by carbon monoxide. On the eve of the tragedy, the parents of the children went to their acquaintances, where they drank alcoholic beverages. Father closed the front door from the outside with a homemade handle, which he took with him, writes the online newspaper Novy Sevastopol.

A criminal case was initiated into the death of people under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence”). The preliminary cause of a fire is careless handling of the fire. The source of the fire was found in the closet, matches were nearby.

It was established that in March 2019, employees of the juvenile affairs department drew up a protocol in relation to the mother of children for failure to fulfill their upbringing duties: one of the sons came to the store in one jacket, without shoes or trousers. Social services then carried out a check, which showed that the children live in poor conditions. My father did not work anywhere, and at the time of the check he was drunk.

Information about the need to include the family in the database of families in a socially dangerous situation was received by the relevant authorities only in September 2020. All this time, preventive work was not carried out. We also found out that the head of the family had previously been convicted, and since the summer of 2018 he was registered with a narcologist.

The UK notes that the systematic nature of all violations led to the death of children. A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Negligence”).

Earlier in November, it was reported that the head of the guardianship and trusteeship group of the committee for youth, family, motherhood and childhood of the Bryansk administration was awaiting trial. She is also accused of negligence, which, through negligence, caused grievous bodily harm to a seven-year-old girl, brought to the point of exhaustion.

It was established that the girl lived with a foster family from March 2017 until this summer. In June, the child was found in a locked room by a neighbor who contacted the police. A seven-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with frostbite on her feet. She weighed 9 kg.
