The Russian government will allocate another 49.5 billion rubles to medical institutions for tests and treatment of patients with coronavirus. This was stated by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting on August 12.
In addition, Mishustin instructed the government to work out the issue of extending incentive payments for doctors.
He asked Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to prepare all the necessary documents.
The prime minister noted that due to the coronavirus, the entire health care system was quickly focused on fighting the infection.
“The sick received the necessary treatment, this is the merit of our doctors, nurses and other medical workers. We are very grateful for their work. They save thousands of lives every day, ”stressed the head of the Cabinet.
On August 6, Mishustin announced the allocation of 14 billion rubles to the regions for payments to doctors who treat patients with coronavirus.
On June 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the extension of payments to doctors for July and August. According to Vladimir Putin, additional payments are also provided for employees of social institutions, boarding schools, nursing homes, educational psychologists. Payments are assigned to health workers for special working conditions and additional workload during a pandemic.
