The transport company, which is responsible for three routes, planned to increase the fare to 37 rubles from April 26. The carrier, LLC ATP No. 4 Tosnoavto, notified the mayor’s office of Petrozavodsk about this, which, in turn, applied to the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in Karelia. The OFAS Karelia issued a warning to the general director of ATP No. 4 Tosavto LLC.
Earlier, from April 10, the fare was increased by the companies LLC “AutoCity”, LLC “Transport Company”, LLC “ATP”, LLC “ATP 2”, LLC “ATP 3”, respectively, the ticket price increased to 37 rubles on routes No. 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 19, 21, 22. At the same time, the OFAS explained that all these companies are considered as one market participant, and ATP No. 4 Tosnoavto LLC does not belong to this group of persons. Such actions will lead to a violation of one of the clauses of the article of the federal law “On Protection of Competition”. Unless, of course, carriers are able to provide economic justification for the increase in fares.
Earlier, residents of Petrozavodsk complained about the poor quality of service in city minibuses. The city mayor’s office has initiated inspections, but Petrozavodsk residents are not sure that inspections can affect the current situation.
