At the same time, the department emphasized that the sea wind waves do not pose a threat to the settlement located on the coast.
“According to the Kamchatka Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on February 3, 2021, in the Pacific Ocean, in the area of 11310 (Aleutian Municipal District), a dangerous wave of 8-9 meters is expected. The phenomenon will continue until the morning of February 4, ”it was reported.
In this regard, the heads of shipping companies, whose vessels may be in these areas, are advised to take increased precautions.
Earlier, on January 25, it was reported that avalanches came down from the erupting Klyuchevskaya volcano in Kamchatka. The cause of this phenomenon was the collapse of the crater rim.
