In Russia, heated discussions continue on the draft of a new list of activities prohibited in the central ecological zone of the Baikal natural territory. As already reported by MK in Buryatia, on the initiative of the Ministry of Nature of the Russian Federation, in particular, the disposal (incineration) of hazardous waste of the BPPM was excluded from this list. State Duma deputy from Buryatia Nikolai Buduev urged residents of the republic to express their position.

“You can build anything and carry out any activity even to the detriment of the ecology of Lake Baikal, if these are investment projects by order of the government of the Russian Federation,” Nikolai Buduev explains the essence of the project of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation in his Facebook. “And you can burn waste of III-IV hazard class.”

Further, the Russian politician is bitterly ironic, saying that “everything else (on Baikal – ed.) Is impossible – you cannot build sewage treatment plants! You can’t build social facilities! Vegetables cannot be processed! You can’t build tourist facilities! ” But it is possible to burn hazardous waste, which is fraught with an ecological catastrophe for Lake Baikal and genetic disorders in humans.

“We must say NO to this arbitrariness!” – called on the deputy and explained that now the draft decree of the government of the Russian Federation has been published and public discussions are underway until August 3. “I urge you to follow this link and vote for the adoption of this document by putting a dislike.
