The midfielder of the Moscow football club “Spartak” Maxim Glushenkov was diagnosed with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint. This was announced on Saturday, September 19, by the FC press service.

“An additional examination of the red-and-white midfielder Maxim Glushenkov showed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint,” the report says.

It is noted that the 21-year-old player will need surgical treatment.

Last year, a demonstration knee joint operation was performed at the SOGAZ St. Petersburg International Medical Center with the participation of Sven Scheffler, a German scientist, leading orthopedic traumatologist at the Sporthopaedicum Joint Surgery Center.

A unique operation, which lasted an hour and a half, will be able to return to the field a footballer whose injury was previously considered incompatible with a sports career. The patient was a young striker of the Russian Premier League club.
