The Tula traffic police announced the number of cases when drivers left the scene of a road accident.
For 3 months of 2021, 64 administrative materials were compiled in relation to offenders who fled from the scene of an accident under Part 2 of Art. 12.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Failure to fulfill obligations in connection with a road traffic accident).
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, violators are thus trying to hide the fact of drunk driving or driving without a license.
But the fugitives are still found – according to the wreckage of the car, you can establish the make, model, color, year of manufacture of the car.

The police remind that leaving the scene of an accident by a driver, in which he is a participant, entails deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1 to 1.5 years or an administrative arrest for a period of up to 15 days.
