Belarusian law enforcement officers opened fire on a car in the west of Minsk when the driver tried to turn around and drive away. A video recording of the incident appeared in one of the Belarusian Telegram channels.
The footage shows how several representatives of the law and order get out of a service car that blocked the path of one of the cars. The driver in response to this decided to turn around and, apparently, tried to hide from the security forces, but they opened fire. The video ends at this point.
Earlier on Wednesday it was reported that in Brest, the police opened fire on protesters who attacked them with rebar.
On the eve, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reported that more than 2 thousand people were detained in the republic for participating in protests.
Mass protests began in Minsk and other Belarusian cities after the announcement of the results of the presidential elections on August 9 and continue to this day, accompanied by riots and detentions.
