The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu checked the work of the multifunctional medical center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The ministry announced this on Tuesday, August 11.
“A multifunctional medical center for 60 beds was built in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in accordance with sanitary-epidemiological and building codes and regulations, which allows medical personnel to safely treat patients with various diseases,” the head of the medical center, lieutenant colonel of the medical service Denis Loktionov, reported to the head of the department. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The rapidly erected medical center in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was built by the Ministry of Defense in a short time on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin to receive patients with coronavirus infection. The institution is equipped with more than 1.3 thousand units of specialized medical equipment, including a digital X-ray complex, a computer tomograph, a mobile X-ray machine, ultrasound diagnostic devices, as well as acute dialysis machines.
In addition, the medical center has an express laboratory that allows you to obtain the results of clinical and biochemical blood tests of more than 60 patients per day, and the PCR laboratory provides more than 50 tests for coronavirus per day.
The medical center is also equipped with a 16-section multispiral computed tomography scanner, which allows diagnosing moderate and severe forms of coronavirus infection. To date, the medical center has conducted more than 100 studies, including those with intravenous contrast enhancement.
The construction of a multifunctional medical center of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was completed on May 15. It was built according to a project that was specially developed by specialists of the military construction complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense for regions with high seismic activity, withstanding earthquakes of magnitude up to 9 points.
