Several people were reportedly killed and others injured after a tornado hit Ohatchee, Alabama on Thursday.

According to the United States Meteorological Service, as many as seven tornadoes have been reported in this state.
A Calhoun County public safety spokeswoman was unable to give CNN an exact casualty count. The emergency services were still there to help the population in the early evening.
The Alabama State Weather Service has been posting multiple social media posts throughout the day urging citizens to take cover before the tornado hits.
Radars showed that a very large and dangerous waterspout had hit southwest Birmingham, the state’s largest city.
