Russian scientists presented a project of a miniature solar battery capable of receiving energy from scattered light.

The development of young specialists from NUST MISIS was in the finals of the Moscow Innovator competition, according to the organization’s website. The authors of the idea suggested using perovskite-based stickers that can be glued to a smartphone case.

Many smartphones have the function of wireless charging from solar panels, but the invention of scientists from Russia can help residents of countries where there is no way to charge the device from direct sunlight. Scientists plan to certify the development to bring the technology to market.

As we wrote earlier, the AnTuTu benchmark published its July ratings of the best smartphones with the Android operating system in terms of price-performance ratio in different price categories.
