Experts of the analytical agency “Autostat” conducted a study and found out that sales of cars of Chinese and Czech brands are growing in the falling Russian car market.
So, according to the results of nine months of 2020, sales of new passenger cars from China in Russia increased by 40% compared to the same period in 2019. Sales of cars from the Czech Republic, which are represented by the Skoda brand, increased by 6% over the same period.
The largest market decline was observed in American brands (-67.4%), which is associated with the completion of sales of Ford passenger models in Russia.
In addition, sales of passenger cars of brands representing Great Britain (-33.8%), Italy (-33.8%), Japan (-17%), Sweden (-16.1), South Korea (-15.5 %).
On October 30, it was reported that in Russia as of mid-October 2020, there were 3211 official dealerships for the sale and maintenance of passenger cars, and in July there were 3204.
