Fake news about “dry law” from the pages of one of the satirical publications caused a violent reaction from Sakhalin residents. They began distributing it to WhatsApp groups and alerting each other to the impending alcohol ban.

In particular, the text of the “news” contains a warning that from April 30 to May 10 it will be impossible to buy alcohol in Russia. Moreover, this restriction will allegedly affect both shops and catering, where you can traditionally buy alcohol even on forbidden days. The jokers referred to Rospotrebnadzor in the news.

“The goal of the long weekend is to stop the ‘third wave’ of the spread of coronavirus infection. Only sober people can stop it, ”they wrote.

“MK on Sakhalin” decided to end the madness and asked the government of the Sakhalin region for clarification. The Ministry of Agriculture and Trade of the region reacted to the recording briefly with the words: “This is another fake.” Thus, no restrictions on the sale of alcohol are planned for the entire ten days of May in the region.
