In Sevastopol, the construction of Matrossky Boulevard has been completed. The workers are preparing it for the opening, which will take place tomorrow, August 1, but today journalists managed to visit it.
“We financed the activity that ended with this object,” the online newspaper “Novy Sevastopol” quotes the president of the 35 Coastal Battery charity fund Pyotr Nikolaev. At the same time, he refused to answer the question about the cost of reconstruction.
According to Nikolaev, the issue of the possibility of reconstruction of the second stage of the boulevard is being discussed now. In the fall, it is planned to start work on closing the route towards the Sinop Stairs and the former Children’s World. This approach will be more convenient for people with disabilities.
Matrossky Boulevard has already been transferred to the balance of the State Budgetary Institution Parks and Squares. The corresponding act has been signed.
The boulevard was originally scheduled to open on June 14, but it was postponed. Petr Nikolaev then said that the decision was made “in connection with the measures on coronavirus.”
